This simple macro simply displays the Z Distance for the current layer (i.e. the distance between Z-base and Z-height). It does not require any user input and is designed to be used from icon or keyboard shortcut.
If all your keyboard shortcuts are in use, the macro could be combined with some other functionality if required (this is possible
due to the fact that the macro does not require any user input). For example the default Alt-Z shortcut displays the Display Scale menu
but you could have it display the Z Distance as well by changing the shortcut to the following (in the dcadwin.mcr file) Z^;^S9^zd$^19#^ Click the button below to download a zip file containing the macro as well as some sample icon images (for use in a custom toolbar item to invoke the macro) and notes on adding the macro to a keyboard shortcut or custom toolbar. Compatibility: This macro is compatible with DataCAD versions 17 onwards (and probably some earlier versions although this has not been tested).
It is NOT compatible with Spirit.
