This simple macro enables you to automatically save date/time-stamped copies of your drawing. It was originally written by me in 2002, but has recently been updated with some minor tweaks.
The download zip file contains basic instructions on creating shortcuts or toolbar icons to invoke the macro. It also contains icon files at various resolutions to aid in adding the macro to a toolbar.
Note that since this macro was first written other options to keep a file history have become available, and these may be more suitable for you. One such option is to locate your drawing file directory on Microsoft OneDrive. OneDrive keeps a history of the files (I believe up to 100 version on the paid OneDrive option, 30 days on the free option). Other similar services such as DropBox are also available.
Recent Pro versions of DataCAD have the ability to save "sessions". These sessions are only saved when you exit a drawing, so are not a replacement for a version history that includes when a drawing is saved without exiting (DataCAD Lite does not have "sessions").
Spirit Compatibility: This macro has not been tested for Spirit Compatibility.
